Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day today! As a real estate professional who believes strongly in the value of homeownership, my post today is about helping low-income families, especially in depressed neighborhoods, increase their financial literacy and invest in their family's future through home ownership. Owning a home is the method most families use to build wealth and leave a legacy for their children, but it is out of reach for many families.

www.NAREB.com is one of the organizations leading the way in bridging the gap between renters and home ownership. I applaud their grassroots efforts and admire their ambitious goal to help create 2 million homeownership in the next 5 years in Black communities.
